Health metrics not updating today only
under review
Marty Pike
My recovery score, sleep score, RR, RHR, and HRV haven’t updated today. My watch ran out of battery for the last hour of my sleep last night so that would explain why my sleep didn’t log properly, however it’s almost the end of the following day and none of my other metrics have sync’d for today. The required data is showing up in Apple Health but not pulling across to Bevel.

Ok now my HRV has completely disappeared from Bevel. Afib has been turned on so plenty of data in the health app
Randell
Marty Pike: Can you go to Bevel -> Profile -> Data Sources -> HRV, screenshot this view for me? Also, do you have Sleep stages for today's sleep logs?

Have tried reinstalling the app which didn’t work. Reinstalling the app also cleared all of my journal entries for recovery
Randell
Marty Pike Hi, I see that your Apple watch still writes In-bed segments for your Sleep data. Are you currently not running IOS 18/WatchOS 11?
Randell
For the Journal logs, please give it some time for the data to sync back again. Can you please go to Bevel -> Profile -> ICloud, check if its synces to the latest?

Surely this should be enough data? Mind you each of the data points collected has a multitude of beat to beat measurements captured within it, so the data is clearly there to be utilised. I haven’t had afib turned on previously and it has never been an issue up until yesterday
Randell
Marty Pike: Which data point in this screenshot falls within your sleep period on January 15th? For reference, if you turned on AFib History, your data should look like the example shown in the screenshot.
Please note that Bevel will only consider data points that fall within your sleep period, as you are using the default calculation settings in Bevel. Are you missing Recovery Score as well on the 15th?
Marty Pike
Randell 12:04am, 2:05am and 4:04am all occurred during my sleep period, as well as another at 10:04 from the 14th. No, I had a recovery score on the 15th
Marty Pike
After deleting and reinstalling the app, I now have a recovery score and RHR for the last 5 days (except yesterday which didn’t record my sleep, as expected). Looks like the issue is now solved, thank you
Randell
Marty Pike: Gotcha, thank you for confirming this! It seems like the app needs to get reinstalled to force a sync between Bevel and Apple Health. I will close this ticket now.

Hi Marty Pike Can you please go to Bevel -> Profile -> Customization -> Calculation, screenshot this view for me? I'd like to verify which setup you are in first before I check your raw data in Apple Health.
Also, please go to Apple Health -> Sleep, screenshot the chart view + scroll down to "Show all data" tap it and screenshot the view again for the raw data.

Marty Pike: Can you please send the sleep chart view for the day as well?

Marty Pike: I see, can you please go to Bevel -> Profile -> Data Sources -> Sleep, screenshot this view for me?
Also, just wanted to make sure, it seems like in Apple Health your "Day" view is 15th, and your Bevel's screenshot view is 16th. Is this accurate?
Marty Pike
Randell yes correct. My watch ran out of battery between 5-6am (my final hour of an 8 hour sleep last night) and therefore I don’t think it logged my sleep at all. Which makes sense why my sleep score isn’t updated, but not sure why no other metrics are updated either
Randell
Marty Pike: Got it! This happened because you have "Entire Sleep" set up for both HRV and RHR. Since your sleep data is missing, the app doesn’t have a time frame to pull your metrics from.
Anyways, let's verify if your watch did log for HRV and RHR data.
- HRV: Go to Apple Health -> HRV -> Scroll down to "Show all data" -> Tap on today's log -> Screenshot a good chunk of raw HRV data that falls within your Sleep period.
- RHR: Go to Apple Health -> Heart Rate -> Scroll down to "Show all data" -> Tap on today's log -> Screenshot a good chunk of HR data that falls within your sleep period.
Marty Pike
Randell only one data point for RHR today but it seems like it “covers” the whole day since midnight.
Randell
Marty Pike: For the RHR, did you check this on Heart Rate? It should be Heart Rate raw data not, RHR. Bevel pulls in your RHR score from your Heart Rate raw data during your sleep.
Since you don't have sleep data written, this is why these metrics are missing on your Bevel app.
Please try again tonight but make sure that your watch is properly charged or at least it has a good % of battery left before you sleep.
All of your setup is correct and it is on Default which is the recommended setup. It is just that your watch did not log your sleep which is why it is blank for you today.
Marty Pike
Randell this is the raw heart rate data. Interestingly I still have HR values logged during the period I thought my watch was out of battery. Ok thank you
Randell
Marty Pike: I see, thanks for the screenshots. I will close this ticket for now, please feel free to comment back in if you still experience this issue tomorrow.
Just make sure to have your Apple Watch fully charged or at least it has a good amount of battery % left before you head to sleep.
Marty Pike
Randell OK I’ve got a sleep score today but my HRV & recovery score has not updated. I’ve attached screenshots of my Bevel dashboard as well as my HRV data from Apple Health. I’ve also attached the Bevel resting HRV screen which doesn’t look like it’s collected any data from Apple Health in 5 days
Marty Pike
After reading the attached screenshot I’ve also tried turning on Afib settings to get more data points, however I’ve only done this about an hour ago (hence a reading at 7:24am and 7:57am)
Randell
Marty Pike: Thanks for sharing the screenshots and updates. Based on your data and as you mentioned, you only turned on AFIB History an hour ago. It appears that your watch recorded only three HRV data points during your sleep, which isn’t sufficient for the app to calculate your HRV data for the night.
For the Trends issue, can you check for the previous days (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday) If you've got enough data points for HRV in Apple Health as well?
Now that you have turned On your AFib History, your Apple Watch should be able to record more HRV data during your sleep moving forward.
