When i want to start a workout on the watch i have this error:
Bevel needs write access to Apple Health in order to record your workout data.
Please enable this option by going to Apple Health → Sharing → Apps and Services → Bevel → Enable All.”
But everything is already check on Apple health.
Thanks !

Noé juani Scott Moeller Marta As a workaround for now, try these steps (for those on iOS 26):
Go into the apple fitness app on the phone (not the watch)
Try to start a new outdoor run (or any activity type)
Let it succeed or fail, then go back to Bevel and try to start a live sync again.
We are still looking into the root cause of this but hopefully this will get you unstuck for now.

Hi, since update I can’t start the workout via the watch app, it cases and exits app. When I start it from the phone app I get countdown and then a frozen coloured screen but it doesn’t start.

Hello! Having the same issue. Start workout, countdown starts on Apple Watch but after it finishes it gets stuck loading and finally errors out with: "Failed to start workout. Please ensure your watch is connected and unlocked".
iOS 26.0 - iPhone 14 Pro Max
watchOS 26.0 - Apple Watch 10
Bevel 2.2.3

Update: After starting the workout from the Bevel Apple Watch app (and allowing the sharing of motion data), I was able to start subsequent workouts from my iPhone.

Can't start workout on app

I can no longer start an exercise on the app following the iOS and Apple Watch upgrade to 26. Worked fine yesterday with older OS. On the Bevel app I select "Start" and it just spins. It initiates an exercise instance on my Apple Watch, and the watch starts counting down from 3. Sometimes it finishes the countdown, other times it doesn't, regardless the active Bevel app on my watch just spins. On my iPhone, the Bevel app says "Failed to start workout. Please ensure your watch is connected and unlocked". My watch is unlocked and connected. I started a generic workout using the native Apple exercise app on the watch. The results of that workout synced with Bevel as expected.

Can’t start workout from phone

I’ve created a new workout template. I click start on my phone, I feel my watch vibrate, and then both my phone and watch just show a spinning loading icon for about 30 seconds before I get an error on my phone: “ Failed to Start Workout
Please ensure your watch is connected and unlocked”.
I was able to start the workout from my watch directly. Although near the end of my workout the workout seemed to have ended on its own before I was done

Hi Scott Moeller, We are currently working on a fix for this. Let me merge this ticket for you.
Also, can you please confirm if you are on watchOS26/IOS26?

UPDATE: I am using Bevel app version 2.2.3 and the issue still exists.

Hi Noé, shogo, Marta, Joe S, Are you guys still experiencing this issue on the latest version 2.2.2?
Marta
Randell & team, thanks for looking into this! I did two quick tests of the latest version and was able to start and save workouts from the watch 🎉
However, after selecting moderate/tiring etc, it showed the summary on the watch for a brief second and exited the watch app both times. It still saved the workout and synced to the mobile app, but I can’t quickly update template if needed

Randell at least the problems i was having with my apple watch after the big update are now fixed after 2.2.2 thank you
Dylan
Marta this will be fixed with 2.2.3 -- as a workaround, can you verify your heart rate zones (set in the iPhone app) are all at least as large as the zone before it? For example, is your zone 3 smaller than your zone 2?

shogo: Hi, as per Dylan’s response above, we already have a fix for it that will be out soon. Thanks for reporting this!

Randell it works, thanks !!

Hi Dave, Can you please confirm which Apple WatchOS version your watch is currently running?
We already have a fix for this, which we just released for watchOS 10.6.1 users. can you please update your app? The latest should be 2.2.1
