When i want to start a workout on the watch i have this error:
Bevel needs write access to Apple Health in order to record your workout data.
Please enable this option by going to Apple Health → Sharing → Apps and Services → Bevel → Enable All.”
But everything is already check on Apple health.
Thanks !

Same issue here. Starting via watch will either immediately restart the app, or do the countdown with the same result. Furthest I get if I launch via iPhone app is the countdown loop which then tells me I have a connection issue. Both watch and phone have Bluetooth enabled, are up to date on watchOS and iOS, and both on latest app version

Hi, I'm having a similar problem with the Bevel app on my Apple Watch (1st generation SE, watchOS 10.6.1). When I try to start a workout directly on the watch, the watch app immediately crashes.
If I try to start the workout from my iPhone instead, the watch screen shows a countdown followed by a loading animation. However, I get an error message on my phone that says, "Failed to Start Workout. Please ensure your watch is connected and unlocked."
After many attempts, I was able to get a workout to start from my phone once, but the watch app didn't show the workout, and I'm not sure if that's normal. I wasn't able to save that workout, and I haven't been able to start one since.
I've already tried restarting both my watch and my phone, but the issue persists.

Marta: Are you sure both the phone and watch app are up to date? Both devices need to be on the newest release in order for live sync to work -- this sounds like the watch never started the session the way it was supposed to.
Marta
Dylan thanks for the reply! I have just reinstalled the watch app and tried again, but the issue persist. I was regularly using workouts through the watch app before today’s release with no issues
Dylan
When you start the workout on the phone, do you ever see it start on the watch?
Marta
Dylan when I start on the phone, on the watch it shows 3, 2, 1, Go, then loading animation. On the phone it then shows an error. When I start on the watch, it shuts down the watch app without starting
Dylan
Can you send logs from the watch app?
Marta
Dylan just sent
Marta
Dylan
Can you send phone logs as well please?
Marta
Dylan done
Dylan
Looking at the logs, can you send a photo of your health permissions in settings -> privacy -> health for Bevel? If you do not want to do this publicly, feel free to email me at dmace@bevel.health
Marta
Dylan I have everything on. I tried to reset this today by turning it off and on

Understood. We are looking at this internally and are aiming to get a fix out soon.

I’m in the same situation.
I can’t register any activities at all, so I really hope this will be fixed soon.
My situation, environment, and version are the same as this person’s.

Hi Noé, Can you please confirm which watchOS version your watch is currently running?
N
Noé
Randell Hello, I have the 10.6.1
Randell
Noé: I see, can you please go to Apple Health -> Sharing -> Apps -> Bevel -> Manually toggle OFF and ON the workout related permissions? It should be "Workouts" etc.
Once done, try and see if it will fix the issue for you.

Noé
Randell I don’t get the error anymore, but now when I start a workout on the watch, the app shuts down
Randell
Noé: Are you able to send a screen recording of this?
Also, do you have another Strength Training app that is currently running to track your workouts?
N
Noé
Randell
Noé: Hm, I see. Have you tried restarting your watch? see if this will help
N
Noé
Randell i’ve just done it but it doesn’t fix the problem 😐
Dylan
Noé: We are working on a fix that will come out in the next version of the app, but for now, try this to get you unstuck:
- Turn the health permissions back on.
- Start a workout in any other workout tracking app.
- Go back to Bevel
Let me know if that works.
