Activity does not account for Paused time

I mowed the lawn today. Using Apple Watch / Workout as “Outdoor Walking”. I had to pause the watch as I had to take a work call. When I resumed I finished mowing. The Apple workout detected “workout time” properly where I think SuperSet is using “elapsed Time” for activity. That obviously skews workout / stress data. See screenshots and lmk if that wasn’t clear.

Invalid pace values for splits when activity is paused + GPS movement
Quinn Comendant
Check out the pace values for the splits of the Outdoor Cycling activity (first screenshot below), which have weird values like
-916:-47
.At two times I manually paused the workout, the second of which I took a ferry journey to get to the next island (it was paused during the ferry ride). It seems the calculation doesn't filter out time when the workout is paused. I think the ferry journey made it even worse.

Inconsistent running pace between Apple Fitness and Bevel

Bill Chang
Hi, first of all, thanks for this amazing app.
I ran a 7K indoor run this evening, but when I checked the numbers in Bevel, it seems very different than it is in Apple Fitness. The first kilometer was recorded 5'44"/KM in Apple Fitness, but 23'19"/KM in Bevel.
Not sure what caused this. Please let me know if you need further information.
Thanks!

Hi Randell, sorry for pinging you directly, but could you check on this when you get a chance? Thanks!
Randell
Bill Chang: Hi Bill, my apologies. Rest assured that we are aware of your ticket and currently looking into this issue.

Just noticed same thing happened on 08/21 as well...

I don't have very precise timestamp here so my two cents is that I started workout at somewhere 18:15:5x so the pace calculated was super low? (just some random guessing)

Bill Chang: Hi Bill, I am jumping in here for Randell. On Bevel, can you tap on this exercise, scroll down to the map, and tap pace, and screenshot it? It should look like the screenshot below.
I want to see what that chart looks like. If possible, can you include the map too so we can see if your route looks correct.
What app did you record this exercise with?
B
Bill Chang
Hi Grey,
These exercises were recorded using Apple Watch Ultra 2 with Apple Fitness' indoor run exercise.
There was no map and the "HR/Pace/Elevation/Power" tabs in Bevel.
However, the map exists in Apple Fitness app but only a dot in the same place (which makes sense for an indoor run). The last screenshot is from Apple Fitness and redacted a bit, hope it still helps.
Thanks!

edit: removed apple fitniess app screenshot after discussion is finished, since it might reveal some location info

Bill Chang: How did you record this indoor running exercise? Does your treadmill syncs with Apple Health?
B
Bill Chang
Hi Grey, I just clicked this Indoor run on my watch and started running. No sync from treadmill at all.
Grey
Bill Chang: Oh I see. You used the planned interval feature on the Apple Watch right?
B
Bill Chang
Grey you meant the blue workout that sets certain distance/time as goal right? Yes, it's not a default "open goal" workout, if that makes sense.
Grey
Bill Chang: Ok thanks. It's most likely related to that. We'll get a fix out asap.

Bill Chang
Grey Thank you so much!
I should also mention that only some of the workouts have this issue (even though all of them are set to 10KM goal). Will be happy to report in a while.
BTW the mail from this board is so fast.
Grey
Bill Chang: Got it! Thank you.
Grey
Quinn Comendant, I want to follow up on this. Are you seeing this issue on the Beta?
Quinn Comendant
Grey It seems fixed. Here's the same screenshot as above for the latest build:
Grey
Quinn Comendant: Ok great thanks!
Grey
Thanks for reporting this Quinn Comendant. I'll get this fixed asap.
