Update Strength Template based on previous weights + reps

I generally enjoy using the Strength Trainer (and it also has finally pushed me to actually define a routine I want to follow). There is however one stupid wrinkly that I fall into all the time: After finishing the workout, I quickly scroll the the muscle groups displayed on the Watch and then tap the X in the top left corner (same as in Apple's workout app). This however discards any updates to the workout. What I would now wish was just being able to go into the iPhone app, go into the workout details and apply the values from there. Am I making clear what I mean here?

It would be amazing if the Strength Workout Templates that are created would be updated with the values entered from the most recent workout session on the Watch app. It’s a pain in the butt to I have to update it manually after working out or trying to remember if I had increased my weight amounts vs what the template shows. Love how it works otherwise!

Currently, the completed weights are not directly adopted as a starting value for the new strength training

Similar to what Marc is saying, other apps give me the option either “Update Values” which updates reps and weight and an option to “Update Template” which will change the sets and exercises if those changed too

Sync exercise progress across templates

I recently switched from Hevy to Bevel for tracking my strength training.
At the moment, I’m following alternating full-body workout plans. Many of these plans include the same exercises across different templates.
The issue: when I update one template after a workout (e.g. increase lateral raises from 10 to 11 reps), the change is not reflected in the other template. So next time I do that exercise in the second template, it still shows the old value (10 reps).
This makes it harder to keep track of my progression and to ensure I always hit at least the most recent weight/reps.
Suggestion: exercise weight and rep progress should automatically update across all templates after a workout.
Thanks a lot!
EDIT: I just noticed another feedback mentioning that if you skip certain exercises in a workout and then press “update plan” at the end, the whole template can get messed up.
This issue could also be solved if weights and reps were always saved automatically (both within the same plan and across all other templates where the exercise is used). At the end of a workout, the app could then simply ask whether you want to update the plan itself. That update would only apply to added/removed sets or exercises, not to the basic weight/rep progress.
That way, if I finish a workout earlier and skip some parts, I don’t lose the updated weights/reps for the exercises I actually completed — exactly how it works in Hevy.

The summary takes a while to load, and when I try to come back to it to update the template sometimes it is gone.
Ideally, we need to be able to update from the workout record in the timeline.

It would be useful if, when pressing “Update Template,” the user could choose whether to update only the modified weight, only the modified repetitions, or both.
The reason is that during workouts, I might increase the weight and want to save that for the next session, without changing the preset default number of repetitions.
For example, if for an exercise I set 12 reps as the default (within a range of 8–12), I know my goal is to reach 12. However, if in the last set I only manage 10 reps, I wouldn’t want 10 to overwrite the default when updating the template. Instead, it should stay at 12, so that next time I still know my target is 12 reps
