Running Workouts / Display Structured Intervals from Apple/Garmin Watch Workouts
in progress

Michele Mascia
Hello,
I would like to give some feedback regarding the workout data imported from the Apple Watch into Bevel.
When I record a structured workout on Apple Fitness — for example interval sessions with planned repeats — Apple Fitness shows each interval clearly, including the duration and pace of every individual repetition, as you can see in the attached screenshots.
However, in Bevel I can only see the standard kilometer splits, not the actual intervals of the workout.
It would be extremely useful if Bevel could also display the planned intervals exactly as they were executed (e.g., each 1,000 m repeat with its time, pace, and heart rate), instead of only showing the generic 1-km splits.
This feature would make Bevel much more accurate and helpful for athletes who use structured workouts or interval training.
Thank you in advance for considering this improvement.

Take an interval view from Apple Fitness

I start a running workout with my watch with the workout app. I created workouts there, such as intervals such as the Norwegian 4x4 running workout. But when I'm done, we don't transfer the view with the intervals in Bevel, but the splits to KM. Of course, this falsifies the interpretation of Bevel Intelligence. That is not useful for me. I thought the individual intervals would be listed. Can roof be implemented?

I was so happy that this feature is finally available. Unfortunately I had to realize that this was not implemented as I would have liked. I start a workout with my watch with the workout app. I've created workouts there, such as intervals like the Norwegian 4x4 running workout. But when I'm done, we don't transfer the view with the intervals in Bevel, but the splits to KM. Of course, this falsifies the interpretation of Bevel Intelligence. That is not useful for me. I thought the individual intervals would be listed. Is this still being introduced or should I make a new request for it?

Bina Unfortunately, what has been implemented does not address my original request and is quite different from what was being asked for.
Leah
Michele Mascia Bina Thank you for pointing this out. Bevel Intelligence has access to this data, but it is not currently displayed visually in the app. We are working on adding this functionality. In the meantime, you can ask Bevel Intelligence for this information directly.

Hi Bevel team,
Thank you for your work and for implementing this feature. I really appreciate your responsiveness.
However, I don’t think this is the feature that was originally requested. The request was that, after completing an interval workout (like the example I shared at the beginning of the post), the individual intervals would be displayed in Bevel in the same way they are shown in Apple Fitness.
At the moment, Bevel still only shows the standard 1 km splits, so the requested functionality is still missing.
The request was not to create intervals using Bevel Intelligence and then view them in the app. That’s a different feature altogether. What users were asking for was the ability to see the intervals from workouts that were already created and recorded through Apple Fitness.
So, from my perspective, the original request has not yet been fulfilled.
Thank you again for your time, your openness to feedback, and all the work you’re putting into improving the app.

Michele Mascia exactly this. I’m a little confused, because it seems that everyone that requested this specifically asked for this as a result. I’m not sure what the disconnect was.

This feature should not be limited to only those with paid bevel

This is now available in 3.1.0! Just open Bevel Intelligence and ask it to create a cardio workout (e.g., "Build a running workout with 5 x 1km intervals"), then tap Start on Apple Watch

Leah Isn't it possible to see the splits that you also see in the activity app without having to record them with Bevel?
Leah
Evano Del Matto: Yes. Currently, splits are shown per mile if you don't create intervals. If you create your running workout in Bevel with intervals, you'll be able to view your interval splits.

LeahSo my suggestion for a new feature would be that you can view the splits not only by mile or km, but also the intervals as you would track them on the Apple Watch, for example, a 10x200m training session broken down into 200m segments and breaks.

Evaluate run intervals better

In the training plan, I should run four intervals under a certain time. Unfortunately, Bevel cannot evaluate the intervals according to time but after 1 km. As a result, it is not recognized whether I have completed the intervals or not

Why don't you add the ability to create and record structured running or cycling workouts in the Apple Watch app?
At least let them be created from the app and sent to Apple Workouts.
It's absurd that you've given the opportunity to create training plans in the chat but there's no way to execute them 😅

Cycling & Running workout templates (+ Bluetooth sensor support)

Love the app for gym stuff, the workout templates are great. But I’d really like to see templates for cycling and running too, not just gym sessions.
The dream would be something that could replace apps like the Wahoo app for structured sessions, so I don’t have to juggle multiple apps.
A few things that would make this happen: cycling templates with structured workouts (intervals, endurance rides, etc.), running templates in the same way (easy runs, tempo, intervals, long runs), and Bluetooth device support so I can pair sensors like power meters, heart rate straps, cadence and speed sensors.
Basically being able to connect a power meter and run a structured cycling session, or do a guided run, all inside Bevel instead of switching to another app.
Would love to know if this is on the roadmap or if anyone else would find this useful!
