Macro nutrients for foods
F
Fred
It would be nice to have for each food in the meals the% of the macronutrients directly below the name of the food. This would make it possible to quickly see which food provides this or that macro nutrient in excess or not in relation to a target. Today you have to click on the food to visualize them.

Info at a glance

Meal planing and being able to see which foods affect which macros, nutrients in a glance would be great. I think that MacroFactor type ease of use would make the usability much more fluid.

Calories in Timeline View

In the timeline view in the homescreen (and in the food view), show the calories eaten and calories expended for exercises.
It would be a nice UX addition :)

Add Macros to timeline

It is nice to see the food in your timeline, but it would be even nicer to see the macros for each item. There have been a few cases where the item I selected is missing macros and I just happen to have stumbled on it. Also, it would be nice to simply scan my food entries for macro contributions.

Calories shown from timeline

For most people, the most relevant part of their diet tracking is the caloric content of the food. I know it’s being worked on to group individual food items into meals on the timeline, but we should also be able to see, at a glance, how many calories each food item, or at least each meal, accounted for. Currently you have to tap into each item to see the calories so it makes it hard to see at a glance where you went wrong (or right). Ideally we would see from the timeline (or a devoted meals screen): “wow I guess my lunch was pretty big today. And, oh it was the fries I had on the side that made it so bad”

Nutrition Timeline Items Caloric data

It would make a ton of sense if on the nutrition timeline view you would add the calories for each item as well as maybe the amount (grams or whatever it was logged). Right now that view feels a bit useless since it only holds food names.

I see that my suggestion was merged in but I do want to emphasize, not just calories but the three macros. Something like this mockup. The values in parentheses represent the total percentage each entry contributes to the overall daily macro totals.

Calories and macros in food timeline

In the food timeline, there's plenty of screen estate for calories and the three macros for each entry. Especially if you remove the date. Not sure the date is necessary since the context of the screen provides the date and since you can't navigate without explicitly picking a date, most users will know what the date is.
