Bring in nutrition data or add journaling input of nutrition metrics to find net caloric expenditure/surplus

It looks like the app shows BMR and the estimated caloric burn. Are there any plans to either create a nutritional section of the app where you can log your meals (similar to Lose It or MyFitness Pal)? If not, can the app be updated to pull this from Apple Health to get a total net caloric surplus or expenditure?

Calories burned vs calories consumed

It would be very helpful to have an ability to set goal for calories intake based on basal cal expenditure + activity calories + workout calories and consumed calories. If I want to loose weight I can set a goal for calorie intake to be always let’s say 500 cal below my total calorie expenditure. Calories consumed can be pulled from apple health together with makros (carbs, fat, protein).
And if I want to build muscle I can set the goal to always cover the calorie expenditure with adequate calorie intake to support recovery and muscle building

+1 Additionally I‘d also love to track macronutrients (protein, fat, carbohydrates).

Is that needed? Cant we just integrate the nutrition data from apple health which is obtained from lifesum / myfitnesspal?

A: Apple Health's nutrition is quite limited. For example, you can't see the exact type of food that you ate or drill down further into the ingredients.

This would be awesome just to see calories for the day burned, consumed etc and a simple piechart with carb/fat/protein. Of course more in depth even better, but just not having to open another app to check that, or be able to have a net calorie complication to quickly see how your intake is during the day.

Also nutracheck which is a cheaper alternative
