Automated Progressive Overload for Workouts
planned (soon)

When creating a workout plan, I'd like a feature for automated progression in different ways:
On X Successes:
- Increase repetitions by X within a range of X to X reps. Once this rep range is completed, increase the weight by X kg.
Example: Every time I successfully complete my set of 10 kg x 4 sets x 8 curls, increase by 1 rep within an 8-10 rep range.
So next time I'd do 10 kg x 4 sets x 9 curls, then 10 kg x 4 sets x 10).
After completing this cycle, I would then move to 12 kg x 4 sets x 8 reps, etc.
On X Failures:
- Apply the same system (decrease repetitions or decrease weight).

Autofill weight, sets, reps for strength trainer

I use Fitbod as my main training app as I am far enough in my gym journey to know what exercises I want to do, I just need help with progressive overload.
I would love for Bevel to add this feature like Fitbod has where it can update weight, reps, and sets to keep you progressively overloading.
I attached a screenshot of what I am talking about, but basically the way I use Fitbod is, I build my own workout for the day, and then I let Fitbod automatically generate weight, reps, and sets based on my current progress. Having this in Bevel would be amazing!!

Progressive weight training templates

Corbin Barrett
Using templates in the form they are in today, I am doing the same workout with the same weight every week. I would like for it to at a MINIMUM consider what weight I used last time I did an exercise or template. Even better if it can consider my battery and recommend RAISING the weight.
I do not improve unless I know what I did last week and currently the only way to do that is to go into a template AFTER my workout and edit it to what I did this week.

Hi Corbin Barrett If you are using the same template, at the end of the workout you can save your last weights used. Look for the Update Template button at the end of your workout. You can read more here: https://help.bevel.health/en/articles/11244225. I will add progressive templates to the feedback board.

Add Motra like features
G
Gert Post
Hi Bevel team,
I really enjoy the app, especially the clean design and logging experience. However, after comparing it with newer training apps like Motra, I see a clear opportunity for Bevel to evolve from a tracking tool into a true performance platform.
Here are the key features I’d love to see:
- Adaptive training intelligence
- Automatically adjust workouts based on previous performance (reps, RPE, missed targets)
- Suggest next-session weights instead of relying on manual progression
- Built-in progressive overload system
- Smart weight and volume increases over time
- Option to choose progression style (linear, wave, autoregulated)
- AI-generated training plans
- Plans tailored to goals (strength, hypertrophy, recomposition)
- Ability to evolve dynamically instead of static templates
- Deeper performance analytics
- Trend analysis (strength curves, fatigue, plateaus)
- Benchmarking vs past performance, not just raw data
- Smarter exercise handling
- Faster logging via prediction or auto-fill
- Recognition of common patterns (e.g. repeated sessions)
Right now Bevel is excellent for tracking, but adding these features would make it a true training partner that actively drives progress.
If you can bring even part of this into the product, it would significantly increase long-term user value.
Thanks for considering this.

Progressive overload feature, update weights and reps

In order to get muscle, one need to progress in increasing weight or reps week by week. A feature to update the values of sets after a workout would be amazing. Also a dashboard that shows the percentage progress over the weeks and month.

Automatic weight saving in workout

Whenever you do a workout in bevel, it should save the weight that you did. This way you can easily progressive overload and you don’t have to keep changing the weight so much.

Auto Progressive Weights

Can we use data from weight and reps templates to give the option to auto-set the new workouts reps and weights to manage progressive overload. Maybe a sliding scale from minimal to aggressive for different lifters (1% - 10% increments etc)
